Positron :

Positron is a positively charged subatomic particle. It is also called Positive Electron , having the same mass and magnitude of charge as the electron.

It is the first antiparticle to be detected , Constituting the antiparticle of a negative electron.

Positrons were discovered by the Carl David Anderson while he was studying the Cloud-Chamber of the Composition of Cosmic rays in the year of 1932.

This discovery of the positron gave huge support and provided an explanation for a theoretical aspects of electrons , which was predicted by Paul Adrien Mavrice Dirac or P.A.M Dirac .

The Dirac wave equation which was given in 1928, which incorporated relativity into the quantum mechanical description for the acceptable energy States of the electron , yielded seemingly exaggerates negative energy States that were not observed. In the year of 1931, P.A.M Dirac postulated that these states of particles could be related to a new form of particle , later it is named as anti-electron.
